# Memory and context

Jambu remembers in three layers.

## Context: what is true about you

Context is the set of facts about you: who you are, who is in your family, your preferences, your plans. Jambu uses a small personal card of it in every conversation and looks up more when a question needs it.

You can see, add, correct and delete context on the **Context** page.

## Session notes: what this chat is about

Within one chat, Jambu keeps short notes: the objective, what has been decided, what is done, what is next, and what is still open. This is what keeps a long conversation on track.

## Memory over time

Jambu also keeps episodes of what happened, and a background process tidies them: it merges duplicates, lets old noise fade, and prepares what matters for tomorrow. You can ask Jambu to forget something, a whole chat, or everything.

## What is never put in front of every conversation

Goals, health and money details are looked up only when needed. They are not copied into every message.

## Your controls

- see everything Jambu remembers
- edit or delete any item
- switch off what each agent may read
- erase memory entirely
