#Goals and progress

#A goal

A goal is something you want to achieve. It has a title, a direction, steps below it, and optionally a date.

#Steps

Jambu breaks a goal into smaller steps and milestones. A step can be done, in progress or waiting. Some goals are measured: they have a number, such as kilos lost or pages read, and Jambu tracks it.

#Progress

Progress combines your steps, the weight of each, and the date. Jambu shows:

  • how far along you are
  • whether you are ahead of or behind the timeline
  • your streak of days with some progress
  • the gaps: what is not moving

#Views

The Goals page shows your goals as a list, a tree, and a graph of how they link. Each goal has its own page with its work and progress. Today shows what to do now and your streak.

#When you fall behind

Jambu does not scold. It looks at the plan and proposes a change: smaller steps, a new date, or dropping something.
